An alternative historical village tour for those who already visited the well known museums in the Cappadocia region.
You will be picked up from the Ramada By Wyndham Cappadocia hotel in the morning and visit Soğanlı Valley. The site splits into two sections which was inhabited by Byzantine monks.
There are more then a hundred churches, homes and dovecotes carved into the rocks. Tahtalı Church, Yılanlı Church and Karabas Church are some churches you will visit in the site.
Our next stop will be Sahinefendi Village, which is home to recently discovered Roman period ancient site Sobessos, with mosaic artifacts. Afterwards, you will drive to Mazı Village, known for its arable lands, and visit one of the well preserved underground city.
Afterwards, you will go to Ayvali village for cooking class. In the kitchen of a locl family overlooking to a nice village view, you will be cooking the traditional Ottoman and Turkish foods.
After the Turkish cuisine cooking class and lunch break, you will visit the village of Mustafapasa. The village of Mustafapaşa (Sinasos) is a unique example of Greek architecture. The houses are still in use by the Turks, who settled in the region after the population exchange in 1934.
Taşkınpaşa Caravanserai, which serves as a village library with its decorated gate and Byzantine Keşlik Monastery, will be the other stops of the tour.
